It hasn't been very many years ago that "Circuit Riders" were a pretty normal thing. They used ride into towns to preach in smaller-sized congregations that didn't have a full-time preacher. Many congregations today are without full-time preachers as well.
Back a few years ago, a concerted effort was made to present our high school boys with more hands-on experiences and opportunities in ministry, by giving them the opportunity to lead the worship services at some of the smaller, nearby congregations in our area. And so, the Circuit Riders were born, taking care of leading the entire worship service: the singing, preaching, prayers, and serving the Lord's Supper. And what a fine job they do!
