Perhaps the greatest difference (and it really is what makes all the difference!) in my approach to counseling versus many other counselors out there is that I believe that power lies not with the individual, but in the One who empowers individuals to change for the better. He is the One "who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us!" (Ephesians 3:20)

 

Our God is a God of transformation (Romans 12:1-2) and His Words are words of transformation (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12). In my approach I do my best to let the truths of God's Word echo loudly over the lies that Satan tries to get us to believe. In a world full of pain, God is Healer, and I make it my aim to magnify that message in every one of my sessions.
